Discussion time ...Can anyone tell me why everyone forgot about the villains in Batman..? Is there anyone out there even thinking of the next set of villains not being:
Cat woman , The Penguin , Riddler or Mista Freeze . Im talkin
about the good villains that when i was a kid I would stay up late for and sneak down to the basement and watch. For example :The Siren, King Tut, Vincent Price playing Egg Head or Louie the Lilac , The Archer , The Puzzler, Minstrel , Queen of the Diamonds ..and 3 of my favorite The Mad Hatter , The Bookworm and The Clock King.
Now I know that they prob won't use the Mad Hatter because of the Alice movie coming out..Or will they ? I hope that Christopher Nolan is thinking outside the box . In my Mad Mad Batman fantasy I would have everyone in the nut house that the Joker was in break out and run amok . But hey that's just me .
God, Jenny you know your villains! I didn't see any of that stuff on TV. WTH was I doing? Hm, prob watching Smurfs or She-Ra, ha.
ReplyDeleteHm, I heard that the Mad Hatter was being considered for the next Batman film. I don't think they worry too much about another film w/a same character...plus, it's a completely different context.
Ha ha ha...Yes I want everyone in the asylum (Arkham-Mike has told me, ha) to run amok too. That would rule! But I'd like to see a female character for sure (not Batgirl though)...maybe Catwoman or Harley Quinn, but she'd be hard since Joker ain't around no more. :(
BTW: Zack & Miri was really good. Watched it yesterday. :)
I know they were talking about possibly having Harley Quinn in the next one. I guess Heath Ledger had shot some scenes for the next movie. Maybe they can incorporate them into the story somehow. Another name tossed around was Talia al Guhl who is the daughter of Ras Al Guhl. Those would be the two best female villains IMO. I would like to see Bane in this one. That kind of ties into having everyone in Arkham run amok. Bane let loose all of the people in Arkham. Batman rounded them all up and took a pretty good beating in the process. Bane was waiting for Batman after all of that and beat the dog snot out of him, broke his back and whatnot. And if all else fails we could have the lighting guy from the new Terminator movie because from the sounds of it Christian Bale is not a fan of him and that might make for a good movie.
ReplyDeleteHarley quinn could easily be fit into the movie as long as they spun it right ...but... I think that the director might want to go in a different direction then the joker type character because well it's been done.
ReplyDeleteI think you're seeing the same villains mentioned because those characters are still fresh in everyone's minds from the 90's series of movies.
ReplyDeleteI think Nolan wants to keep the real-world aspect to the films, so I'm not sure if we'll see villains with the sci-fi/fantasy aspect. I doubt we'll see Man-Bat or Mister Freeze for instance. But Catwoman or Riddler theoretically would work because they're a little more grounded in reality.
I like the idea of Mad Hatter (if done right) and I've been thinking a lot about Black Mask for some reason. Who knows, maybe all this discussion is for nothing. Maybe Nolan will make the third flick his last one (and he'll want to go out with a bang) and he'll make it more about Batman and not so much about what big-name villain he's fighting. we'll see, I guess...
I read MIKEY's post & I only have this to say, I know it's should be more about the Batman, but I still want to see a sweet girl villain...or even Batgirl (Alicia S. destroyed my brain when she played her, ugh!)...
